Ten fingers, ten strings...A coincidence? Memphis born Dan Houston is a 16 year vet of the electric bass. Dan grew up playing Rush and Iron Maiden songs and playing in his high school orchestra. He cut his teeth playing in the Memphis metal scene in Black Like Me, Requiem (later to become Epoch Of Unlight) and Incineration as well as being a session player in several Memphis studios. He has always leaned toward the progressive side of music, eventually leading him to the ten string world of the Chapman Stick. Influences:King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Primus, Rush, Yes, Black Sabbath, the Beatles, Michael Hedges, Jaco Pastorius, Chick Korea, Stanley Clarke and Bela Fleck. Click here for Dan's page. |
